The University of Southampton and the British Science Association are delighted to announce the launch of the 2026 British Science Festival programme. 

Celebrating the 195^th anniversary of the Festival, this flagship event is coming to the city of Southampton for the first time since 1992 and will feature events at venues across the city and university campuses. The full programme features collaborations between some of the world’s leading scientists working together with local community groups, collectives and creatives to celebrate the people, stories and ideas at the heart of science. 

All events are free, but booking is required for most of them. Some activities are drop-in sessions and do not require advance booking. This information will be clearly stated on the event listing.
